Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
This is my favorite Asian food. Every time I go and try something new, it's always phenomenal. My favorite so far is the sweet and sour pork, but that doesn't mean that every dish isn't mind blowing. In fact I have never had one thing I wouldn't order again. I really love that they give you all the little sides with it. Their kim chi is mind blowing and it's always gone before our dish even gets to the table.
This is our stopover on the way to our other home in WA. We love the jjajangmyeon and the sweet and sour pork. The jjampong is also delicious and spicy. Service is fast and really, who cares it is in a food court if the food is great?
This is our favorite place to come for Mongolian beef, jjajang, jjampong, and sweet and sour beef. The food and service are always amazing! Highly recommend!
This is inside Paldo Market in Lakewood on South Tacoma Way in the food court section. The food has always been very good here. However, prices may seem a little high due increases in food cost, labor, rent, business taxes. I enjoy (not pictured) spicy fried chicken wings ($24 + tax). Their spicy seafood noodle soup is a good choice also. This is a place to enjoy a good lunch.
Gapong Chicken and Jahm Pong Fried boneless chicken pretty good. Huge portions. Felt like two meals. Spicy Seafood Soup with Noodles I thought it was OK. Soup a bit bland. Had oyster, squid, and shrimp. Lots of noodles.
Great food, I usually get the spicy mongolian beef. Price and food amount is great. Nice tender beef with onions and their special sauce. They also give some pickled appetizers with it. I just went today but it was closed :( Next time I guess. Highly recommended for good food that makes you feel good. P.S. i added pic from when they were open.

Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant in Lakewood, WA, stands out as a vibrant spot for anyone craving authentic Chinese and Korean-inspired flavors. Located conveniently inside the Paldo Market food court, it delivers a dining experience rich in taste and tradition. The restaurant’s menu offers a diverse selection, from the spicy kick of their Mongolian Beef and Spicy Stir Fried Squid to comforting classics like Jjajangmyeon and Jjamppong. Each dish bursts with bold spices and fresh ingredients, reflecting a deep respect for Asian culinary heritage.
One of the true highlights is the accompanying array of banchan, small side dishes like their famed kimchi, which many customers rave about. The kimchi, tangy and perfectly fermented, often disappears quickly from the table—a testament to its addictive flavor. Dishes such as the sweet and sour pork maintain a delicate balance between tanginess and sweetness, evoking nostalgic memories of home-cooked meals while maintaining a fine dining twist.
The Spicy Chicken Wings and Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup also deserve mention. The wings offer a generous portion with an intense, fiery flavor that challenges the palate without overwhelming it. Meanwhile, the seafood noodle soups blend fresh oyster, squid, and shrimp with spicy broth, delivering warmth and depth. While some find the soup’s spice level mild, it caters well to those who appreciate layers of flavor over simple heat.
Service here is consistently quick and attentive, reinforcing the restaurant’s commitment to a seamless dining experience. Though located within a food court, the quality of the ingredients and careful preparation elevate Peking Garden beyond typical casual dining. Prices have adjusted with rising costs, but the generous portion sizes and authentic atmosphere justify the value.
Overall, Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant offers a dynamic and satisfying journey through Asian flavors. Whether you’re a fan of hearty bowls of Jjajangmyeon or crave the intense zest of their Spicy Mongolian Beef, this eatery delivers dishes that resonate with authenticity and heart. It’s a place where each bite tells a story, inviting you back to explore new favorites every visit.
